Oliver grew up in a musical family and received a classical education on piano as well as on numerous classical wood and string instruments. Besides that already from early teenage age he started to play in bands and felt torn towards creating his own music.
His professional music career he started as songwriter/singer/keyboardist of the German Progressive Rock band Everon in the 90ies. The band released 7 successful albums that were critically acclaimed and had numerous chart entries in several countries.
He started to work as a producer in the late 90ies. From 97 to 2007 he was co-owner of Spacelab Studio. He produced around 100 albums in that time and built a reputation in particular for his arrangement and orchestrations skills.
Digital technology had changed the world of recording completely, and at some point the business model of running a conventional recording studio had become obsolete. Seeing the blessing in that rather than the curse Oliver decided in 2007 to continue as freelance producer and composer. Being fascinated with the progress of technology and the creation of sample libraries that opened a whole new world to composers by providing access to pretty much every instrument or sound there is, he started to more and more get into creating film music. He created hundreds of library tracks over the years, but his passion is mainly in creating tailor made music for a particular film purpose. It doesn’t matter if it is about a short commercial, an image film or a full lenght documentary, the challenge and the joy is always in creating a soundtrack that will fit like a glove and will at every moment of the film enhance and support the picture as well as the story or message.
Besides that he continues to work with bands/artists as producer/arranger/co-writer.
